Last year massive civic-led waste cleanups took place as part of the Let’s Do It! World Cleanup 2015 project. 3,4 million people in 34 countries collected about 45 000 tonnes of illegal waste which otherwise would have been left in the nature continuing to damage our environment. Vivienne Westwood is a fashion icon, activist and founder of a non-profit organisation named Climate Revolution, which focuses mainly on reforming business policy, the ecology of climate change and supporting the charities that fight for preserving the rainforests. Whelan has written: "I thought that if a product was on the shelf in a store, that meant it was safe. The biennial Yale-based 2016 Environmental Performance Index, which ranks 180 countries on how they protect ecosystems and human health, has some good news this year: there have been global improvements in climate and energy, health impacts and water and sanitation. Check out the top ten of greenest countries here.
